Authentic Slovakia goes beyond the traditional understanding of a travel agency. Our tours critically present to you some of the real issues facing Slovakia today. If you prefer to see ideal Slovakia known from official travel brochures, don't come with us. However, in Authentic Slovakia we realize that some of you come here to take a rest from your own routine. We know how important it is to reset the brain from time to time and we know how to do it without being overwhelmed by cheesy surreal brochure-like attitude.

Last but not least, our mission is also to kick you out of Bratislava for great events taking place all over Slovakia. To meet with locals and enjoy places without swarms of tourists. We provide efficient transport and cheap accommodation for places where exciting events are taking place. If your time is limited or if you just feel like hanging out in urban Bratislava, we can provide you with up-to-date info on cool events in the city as well.

Born in Bratislava, experiencing changes in Slovakia since 1983 from collapsing socialist regime through exciting times of Velvet revolution in 1989, over post-socialist dictatorship 1994 – 1998 to early-capitalist reality of recent years. Always inspired by changes of the society, watching reality passing-by, confronting himself with his stereotypes, interested in critical geography, is excited to reveal you what Slovak officials prefer to hide.
