Little Danube Canoe Trip

splav600_390 Wilderness is not far away from Bratislava. Rich wet lowland forests are cut by playful waters of Little Danube river. The landscape under its surface hides the largest resources of drinking water in Central Europe. The first threat for this increasingly valuable resource was an oil refinery built in 1956. Today, a new project of pipelines planned to cross Little Danube area can become another danger for fragile ecosystems. Check it yourself on our tour. Explore this pristine river on canoe from only €39 per person.

It takes 1 hour by our VW Caravelle to get from Bratislava to the place we start the journey on Little Danube river. We set off for 4-hour peaceful cruise down the stream. Paddling included! Absorbing silence, voices of the birds and watching beavers.

Availability: April - October, according to the weather conditions
Duration: 7 hours (including transport)
Meeting point: your hostel in Bratislava at 9:00am or according to agreement
Included: minivan transport from/to Bratislava, guide, use of the canoes, lunch (fish and chips or the like), snack and drink, sun lotion, mosquito repellent

"We went on the Little Danube tour. It was very beautiful. Pete was a fantastic guide telling us little stories on way to river + whilst on kayak. It was a good, fun day + Pete even did all the paddling for me as I am too weak! "

"This tour was easily organized with only 1 day notice. Pete was friendly and easy to get along with & bought us traditional Slovak drinks + food. You do have to be quite good at paddling though to get through the 4/5 hours! The cheap pub at the finish makes it worth it!"

"The Little Danube tour was a great time. Pete was a great tour guide and knew a lot about Bratislava and its history. A great day out for the girls to get a tan and the lads to get a workout with all the paddling. All the best Pete! Great day! "

"Thank your for an amazing day - it was a fantastic experience, an experience we will never forget! Canoeing along the Little Danube river, listening to the birds was so relaxing. The rainstorm inbetween also added excitment - getting covered in mud and hailstones the size of marbles - memories I will never forget! A truly amazing experience, a trip to Slovakia is not complete until you have been on this canoe trip!"

"Just had the most amazing, relaxing, peaceful day. It was so much fun with a storm halfway through which cooled us down from canoeing. It was great to learn so much about Slovakia along the way. A truly "authentic Slovakian" experience. I cannot recommend the company highly enough and will be spreading the word to all my friends!
