During the tour you will climb the unique Sandberg hill, former sea cliff where shark teeth can be found if you are lucky enough. Enjoy great views over the Morava river to Austria - Vienna and the Alps can be seen if you are lucky enough. We will hike through preserved beech forests to the highest point of Bratislava city, Devinska Kobyla (514 metres above sea level). During Cold War, missile headquarters and other military objects of Czechoslovak army were strategically located here. We will explore these abandoned objects and breathe special atmosphere of the forgotten past. After hiking down to Devin, glass(es) of local currant wine are ready for you to taste enjoy in authentic wine cellar. The last walk by the Danube and Morava river under the Devín castle and memorial to the victims of the Iron curtain. People were shot here when trying to flee from communism to Austria across the river until 1989. Visit of the maginificent castle ruin Devin with medieval exhibitions and splendid view above the confluence of Danube and Morava river will be the great ending of this trip.
